Swansea Technology Firm Shortlisted for UK Export Award

A Swansea-based telecommunications technology firm is in the running for a prestigious UK business accolade – the UK Export Excellence Awards 2017.

CPR Global Tech, which manufactures the world’s best selling nuisance call blocking technology, CPR Call Blocker, as well as a GPS tracking smartwatch for children called WATCHU GPS, has made the finalists shortlist in the Innovation in Exporting category.

The past few months have seen the firm, which is one of the fastest growing companies in Wales, win the 2016 Global Business Excellence Awards, while also making the shortlist for the Amazon Growing Business Awards at the end of last year.

CPR’s founder and Chief Executive, Andrew Sandbrook, also recently won the Social Entrepreneur category for the Barclays Entrepreneurs Awards.

Mr Sandbrook said:

“We are delighted to feature in the shortlist for this important award. We are proud to be a Welsh company, but from our very beginnings we have always been ambitious to be a global business  – and exporting our innovative products to the US and Europe has helped to make ours the world’s best-selling nuisance-blocking technology.

“Receiving accolades like this one gives us a real indication of CPR’s strength in the market-place in providing a useful device designed to help millions of elderly and vulnerable people deal simply and effectively with phone scammers and nuisance callers.”

Joining CPR Global Tech in the Innovation in Exporting category are Aviramp, Dints International, Pet Brands and Ramsden International.

The winners of the 2017 awards will be announced at a ceremony and gala dinner on 15 June at The Grange Hotel, Tower Bridge, London.
